Duval Timothy is vrijwel een begrip geworden in Londen met zij compromisloze jazz. Zeker met ‘Help’ dat hij vorig jaar nog uitbracht. Rosie Lowe verdiende dan weer haar strepen met ‘YU’, een alternatieve r&b en funk-plaat met een vooruitstrevende poptwists in verwerkt. Ze kon bovendien het telefoonnummer van Jay Electronica en Floating Points te pakken krijgen om mee te werken aan de plaat. Nu slaan de twee Britten dus de handen in elkaar voor een collaboratief project ‘Son’. De plaat verschijnt al op 12 november via Carrying Colour.
