Vandaag werden de nominaties voor de 89ste Academy Awards bekendgemaakt. Grote slokop is ‘La la land’ dat met veertien nominaties het record van ‘Titanic’ en ‘All about Eve’ evenaart. Wij zijn uiteraard extra geïnteresseerd in de films die gekozen werden voor beste soundtrack, dit zijn ze: ‘Lion’ (Dustin O’Halloran / Hauschka), ‘La la land’ (Justin Hurwitz), ‘Jackie’ (Mica Levi), ‘Moonlight’ (Nicholas Britell) en ‘Passengers’ (Thomas Newman).
Daarnaast zijn dit de genomineerden voor best original song: ‘Audition (the fools who dream)’ van Emma Stone uit ‘La la land’, ‘Can’t stop the feeling’ van Justin Timberlake uit ‘The trolls’, ‘City of stars’ van Ryan Gosling uit ‘La la land’, ‘The empty chair’ van Sting en J. Ralph uit ‘Jim: the James Foley story’ en ‘How far i’ll go’ van Auli’i Cravalho uit ‘Moana’.
